I’m all about some female writers & book suggestions.
After all, women empower women.
Through lots of searching and reading, I’ve come up with the three most satisfying reads I’ve had this month:
a book for your soul.
First of all, how can you not love Alex Elle. I discovered her through a friend via instagram and instantly fell in love with her words. In Neon Soul there’s so much power, love, and self-awareness coming through these pages – you don’t want to miss it. Promise. She outlines everything from letting go of pain, acknowledging your self-worth, and the beauty in self-care. It’s so wonderful I finished in fifteen minutes and turned back to page one to read it again.

a book for your inspiration.
As a writer, a teacher, and a newly established entrepreneur, I find it easy to get discouraged. In the Company of Women is a NY Times Bestseller that has a collection of advice and inspiration from 100 female makers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Grace Bonney did a fantastic job bringing together real women, real stories, and real success. I keep this book on my nightstand and crack it open any time I need to remind myself of how dang awesome I am. Grab this gem and stay inspired.
a book for your inner detective.
Normally I don’t reach for thriller novels, but The Women in Cabin 10 caught my eye in B&N one weekend. I have to say it had me trippin’ out for a while. Bestselling author Ruth Ware writes of a journalist named Lo who goes on a trip to review a new cruise ship. All of the guests seem nice enough, until Lo witnesses one guest being thrown overboard. The scary part? Apparently, the guest she saw never existed. Or that’s what everyone is trying to make her believe. Weird, right?
I couldn’t put this one down.
There ya have it: three fantastic reads for you to take to the beach during Memorial Day Weekend.
I’m excited to see what you guys think!
